Working Principle The proximitor sends high-frequency alternating signal to the coil inside probe tip. Alternating magnetic field is generated around the coil, inducing eddy current on the surface of adjacent metal rotor. The energy loss and coil impedance change with the gap between probe tip and rotor surface. The impedance variation is transmitted back to proximitor and converted into analog voltage signal, reflecting real-time gap value.
Installation Requirements Install probe through threaded mounting hole on equipment housing. Adjust initial gap between probe tip and target surface according to system configuration. Fix probe with lock nut after gap calibration to prevent loosening by vibration. Arrange cable route to avoid friction and sharp edge cutting. Keep cable away from high temperature pipe and high voltage power line. Ensure target metal surface meets size and flatness requirement.
