Working Principle The proximitor outputs high-frequency alternating signal to probe coil. Alternating magnetic field generates eddy current on metal rotor surface. The coil impedance changes as the gap between probe tip and rotor changes. Impedance variation signal returns to proximitor and is converted into linear analog voltage, which reflects real-time gap, vibration and displacement value of rotating shaft.

Installation Requirements Screw the probe into the threaded hole on equipment casing. Adjust initial static gap between probe tip and rotor target according to calibration data. Lock nut tightly after gap adjustment to prevent loosening by machine vibration. Arrange cable with enough slack, avoid pulling force caused by thermal expansion. Route signal cable separately from high voltage power cable. Check target surface flatness and size before installation.
