Technical Specifications
Network protocol: ControlNet, 5Mbps. Interfaces: 1×BNC copper ControlNet, 2×ST fiber optic connectors (duplex). Fiber type: multi-mode 62.5/125μm. Maximum fiber distance: 2000 meters. Power supply: 24V DC ±10%. Current consumption: 250mA. Operating temperature range: -40°C to +75°C. Storage temperature range: -55°C to +85°C. Protection rating: IP20. Mounting: 35mm DIN rail.
Functional Features
It provides transparent protocol conversion with zero added latency for ControlNet communication. Full fiber optic isolation eliminates ground loops and EMI interference. Dual fiber ports support ring and star network topologies. Front panel status indicators show power, network activity and fault conditions. DIN rail mounting enables quick installation in control cabinets. It supports redundant media configurations for high availability.

Application Scenarios
It applies to long-distance ControlNet network extensions in refineries, chemical plants, power generation facilities, large manufacturing campuses, and high-EMI industrial environments where copper cable distance limits are exceeded.
Material Composition
Housing: UL 94 V-0 flame-retardant polycarbonate. Connectors: gold-plated BNC and ST connectors. Circuit board: FR-4 glass epoxy with conformal coating. Optical components: InGaP LED and PIN photodiode.
Structural Characteristics
It features compact DIN rail mount housing, front panel status LEDs, BNC copper port, dual ST fiber ports, terminal block power input, and integrated mounting clips.
Working Principle
It receives electrical ControlNet signals from the copper cable, conditions and drives them into an optical transmitter that converts the electrical data into modulated light signals. The light signals propagate through the fiber cable. At the receiving end, a photodetector converts the light back to electrical signals, which are conditioned and retransmitted onto the copper ControlNet segment.
Installation Requirements
Mount on standard 35mm DIN rail. Connect 24V DC power with correct polarity. Clean fiber end faces before mating connectors. Observe minimum fiber bend radius. Ground the chassis shield at one point only. Terminate copper segment with 75Ω terminator.
