Working PrincipleUnder normal operating conditions, current flows through the closed main contacts, the bimetallic thermal element and the magnetic trip coil. Under short-circuit conditions, the magnetic coil generates instantaneous magnetic force to trip the mechanism. The arc chute splits, elongates and cools the DC arc to extinguish it safely.
