Working Principle
It receives motion commands from the IRC5 controller over the internal bus, executes high-speed current loop and velocity loop control in the digital signal processor, and outputs variable-voltage variable-frequency 3-phase power to the robot joint servo motor via the IGBT power stage. Motor position and speed feedback closes the control loops.
Installation Requirements
Install in the designated drive bay of the IRC5 controller cabinet. Torque mounting screws to specified values. Connect motor power cable and feedback cable securely. Ensure protective earth ground connection. Verify drive address configuration matches robot setup.
