Functional Features
Wide input voltage range adapts to global power grids. Built-in over-voltage, over-current, short-circuit and over-temperature protection. LED status indicators show output and fault status. Active power factor correction improves input power quality. Convection cooled design for silent operation.
Application Scenarios
It serves as the main internal power source for ABB IRC5 robot controller cabinets, powering control processors, servo drive logic, I/O modules and communication interfaces in industrial robotic systems.
Performance Parameters
Output voltage regulation: ±2% of nominal. Output ripple: <50mV peak-to-peak. Hold-up time: 20ms minimum. Efficiency: 85% @ full load. Operating temperature range: 0°C to +45°C.
Material Composition
Housing: galvanized steel sheet with powder coating. PCB: FR-4 substrate. Transformer: silicon steel core with copper windings. Power components: industrial-grade semiconductors. Terminals: tin-plated copper alloy.
Structural Characteristics
It features a compact sheet metal chassis, front panel status LEDs, AC input terminal block, DC output connector, integrated cooling fan, and chassis mounting brackets.
Working Principle
It receives 3-phase AC input power, performs rectification and power factor correction, then converts the high-voltage DC to multiple regulated low-voltage DC rails via high-frequency switching converters. Control circuitry monitors output parameters and triggers protection on fault conditions.
Installation Requirements
Install in the designated power supply bay of the IRC5 cabinet. Secure mounting screws to specified torque. Connect 3-phase AC input and DC output connectors. Connect protective earth ground reliably. Ensure adequate ventilation space around the unit.
Usage Notes
Do not operate beyond rated input voltage range. Clean air intake vents regularly to maintain cooling performance. Verify output voltages during commissioning. Follow lockout/tagout procedures before servicing. Do not open the sealed unit.
