Technical Specifications
Synchronization interface: dedicated redundancy link. Synchronization rate: 100Mbps. Switchover time: <50ms bumpless transfer. Supported redundancy modes: hot standby, dual redundant. Backplane current: 400mA @ 5V DC. Power dissipation: 2W maximum. Operating temperature range: 0°C to +60°C. Storage temperature range: -40°C to +85°C. Isolation voltage: 500V AC.
Functional Features
It enables automatic controller synchronization for program, I/O and status data. Bumpless switchover ensures no process disturbance during controller failover. Front panel status indicators show primary/secondary status and system health. It supports both controller and I/O redundancy configurations. Built-in diagnostics detect faults and trigger switchover automatically.

Application Scenarios
It is essential for high-availability process control systems, critical power generation applications, continuous manufacturing processes, safety instrumented systems, and applications requiring maximum system uptime.
Performance Parameters
Synchronization data rate: 100Mbps. Controller switchover time: <50ms bumpless. Data synchronization latency: <1ms. Operating temperature range: 0°C to +60°C. Vibration resistance: 2G @ 10Hz to 500Hz. Shock resistance: 30G.
Material Composition
Front panel is UL 94 V-0 flame-retardant plastic. Circuit board uses FR-4 glass epoxy substrate with high-speed synchronization circuits. Connectors are gold-plated copper alloy.
Structural Characteristics
It features standard Ovation module form factor with front panel status LEDs (PRI, SEC, OK), redundancy link connector, rear backplane connector, and card guide design for rack installation.
Working Principle
It establishes a dedicated high-speed synchronization link between primary and secondary controllers, continuously updating the secondary controller with all program, I/O and status data from the primary. When a primary fault is detected, it initiates automatic bumpless switchover to the secondary controller, which takes over control without process interruption.
Installation Requirements
Install one module in each of the primary and secondary controller chassis. Use approved redundancy link cable. Ensure both controllers run identical firmware and program versions. Configure redundancy parameters via Ovation engineering software. Verify proper system grounding.
