The 1C31197G01 is a dedicated resistance temperature detector input module for the Emerson Ovation distributed control system. It interfaces with 2-wire, 3-wire and 4-wire RTD sensors to provide high-accuracy temperature measurement for industrial process monitoring and control.

Working Principle
It supplies excitation current to RTD sensors through internal constant current sources, measures the voltage drop across the RTD element, calculates temperature values through signal amplification and A/D conversion, and transmits temperature data to the Ovation controller via the system backplane for process temperature control and monitoring.
Installation Requirements
Install in any available Ovation chassis I/O slot. Use 3-wire or 4-wire wiring for highest measurement accuracy. Match RTD type and range configuration to installed sensors.
