Structural Characteristics Standard plug‑in module for Series 90‑30 rack Front‑panel independent LED for each output channel Front‑mount field wiring terminal block Backplane gold‑finger bus contact Internal surge‑suppression and isolation circuit Mechanical locking latch
Working Principle CPU transmits output logic command over backplane bus. Internal circuit drives triac components to switch on‑off status, control power supply of external AC loads. Opto‑isolation separates high‑voltage field circuit from PLC low‑voltage logic circuit. Surge circuit absorbs transient spike from inductive load. Monitoring circuit captures over‑current fault and sends information back to CPU.
Installation Requirements Insert module into suitable rack slot. Rack protective ground follows official requirement. Distinguish live and neutral terminals for field AC wiring. Route AC field cable away from low‑voltage signal lines. Confirm load voltage matches 120VAC rating. Power off rack before module replacement, hot‑swap not allowed. Maintain qualified ambient temperature and humidity.
Usage Notes Do not exceed 0.5A per channel load current. Never connect voltage higher than rated 120VAC. Add external surge absorber for inductive AC loads. Prevent dust‑caused bad terminal contact. Check channel LED status periodically. Forbid on‑site module disassembly. Avoid corrosive gas, liquid splash and oil mist.
