Technical Specifications Supply voltage: 8–30 V DC; Output: open-collector NPN square wave; Frequency range: 0 Hz–25 kHz; Operating temperature: -40 °C to +150 °C; Enclosure rating: IP67; Mounting thread: M12 × 1.5; Housing material: 303 stainless steel; Short-circuit protected output.
Functional Features Zero-speed detection capability; high-resolution timing reference; active signal conditioning; reverse polarity protection; short-circuit output protection; high-temperature rated construction.
Application Scenarios Precision engine ignition timing, high-accuracy speed control systems, low-speed position sensing, crankshaft position reference, sequential cylinder ignition.
Performance Parameters Position accuracy: ±0.5° with 60-tooth target gear; frequency accuracy: ±0.01%; rise/fall time: < 1 µs; minimum detectable speed: 0 rpm.
Material Composition 303 stainless steel housing; Hall-effect sensing IC; integrated signal conditioning electronics; high-temperature epoxy potting; shielded output cable.
Structural Characteristics Threaded cylindrical probe body; hexagonal locknut for gap adjustment; integral shielded cable; sealed sensing face.
Working Principle The Hall-effect IC detects variations in magnetic field as ferrous gear teeth pass the probe tip, and outputs a clean square wave signal proportional to rotational speed. Unlike variable-reluctance pickups, it operates at zero speed and provides uniform amplitude across the full frequency range.
Installation Requirements Mount in threaded hole aligned with target gear teeth; set air gap to 0.3–0.8 mm; connect supply and output wiring; observe correct polarity.
