Working Principle
Under normal conditions the device presents high impedance. When a transient surge occurs, the varistors and spark gap conduct rapidly, diverting surge current to earth and clamping voltage to a safe level. Thermal disconnects safely remove the device from the circuit if end-of-life failure occurs.
Installation Requirements
Install as close to supply entry as possible. Connect all three phases, neutral and protective earth. Use conductor size per short-circuit rating. Mount on 35mm DIN rail. Connect remote signal if required.
