Working Principle
Compressed air enters the actuator chamber, exerting force on a diaphragm or piston. This force overcomes spring tension (in fail-safe models) or opposing air pressure (in double-acting models) to move the valve stem. A positioner compares the input signal to actual stem position and modulates air supply to eliminate error, ensuring the valve reaches and holds the exact commanded position despite friction or process disturbances.
