Working Principle:
The module connects to the PLC’s backplane bus and presents itself as a Profibus DP slave. It maps specific PLC memory registers (Inputs/Outputs) to the Profibus data telegram. The master polls the module cyclically; the module reads/writes data to the PLC memory instantly, effectively extending the master’s I/O capability remotely.

Installation Requirements:
Set station address switches BEFORE powering up the rack.
Use shielded Profibus cable with proper termination resistors at ends of segment.
Insert module firmly into rack slot until latches click.
