Technical Specifications
Sensor type: ultraviolet phototube. Spectral response: 190nm to 270nm. Response time: <1 second. Power supply: 120V AC. Output: SPDT relay, 5A @ 250V AC. Operating temperature range: -40°C to +85°C. Enclosure rating: NEMA 4.
Functional Features
UV sensing is immune to visible light and infrared radiation from hot refractory. Self-checking circuitry verifies sensor and circuit health. Flame-on and fault relay outputs. Adjustable flame-off delay. Remote reset capability.
Application Scenarios
It provides flame safety for industrial burners, package boilers, process heaters, thermal oxidizers, incinerators and gas turbine combustors.

Performance Parameters
Response time: <1 second on-flame. Flame-off delay: 0 to 10 seconds adjustable. Contact rating: 5A @ 250V AC resistive. Operating temperature range: -40°C to +85°C.
Material Composition
Controller housing: die-cast aluminum. Sensor: quartz window, metal housing. Relay contacts: silver alloy. Lens: fused silica.
Structural Characteristics
It consists of a separate UV sensor probe and a chassis-mount control unit, connected by armored cable. The controller features front panel indicators, adjustment controls and terminal connections.
Working Principle
The UV sensor detects ultraviolet radiation emitted by the flame. The control unit amplifies and validates the signal, energizes the flame relay when flame is confirmed, and de-energizes the fuel cutoff relay if flame is lost, initiating safety shutdown.
Installation Requirements
Mount sensor with view of flame zone, threaded into burner port. Mount controller in accessible panel location. Wire power, fuel valve and alarm circuits. Set time delay per application requirements. Verify operation on initial startup.
