It supports both sinking and sourcing input devices for maximum field wiring flexibility. Per-channel status LEDs provide real-time input state indication. Configurable input filters reduce false triggering from electrical noise. It integrates self-diagnostic functions for fault detection. The removable terminal block simplifies installation and maintenance.

It is widely used in general machine control, packaging and conveying systems, building automation, lighting control, OEM equipment panels, and discrete signal monitoring in industrial automation systems.

The enclosure is constructed from UL 94 V-0 rated flame-retardant plastic. Terminal contacts are made of tin-plated copper alloy. Internal PCB uses FR-4 glass epoxy material with copper traces.

It features CompactLogix standard modular design with flame-retardant plastic housing, removable screw terminal block, front panel channel status LEDs, and side expansion bus connectors.

It receives discrete voltage signals from field sensors, switches and contactor auxiliary contacts, conditions and filters the signals, converts them to logic-level data, and transmits the input status to the system controller via the internal bus for logic processing.

Install within 8 modules of the system power supply. Use 22-14 AWG solid or stranded copper wire rated at 90°C. Tighten terminal screws to 0.68 N·m torque. Ensure reliable system grounding. Group inputs by common voltage reference.
