Working Principle
It receives high-speed pulse signals from encoders or pulse sensors, processes the signals through dedicated high-speed counter circuits, calculates position and speed values, and makes the data available to the CompactLogix controller via the system bus for motion control and monitoring functions.
Installation Requirements
Install within 4 modules of the system power supply. Use individually shielded twisted-pair cables for encoder signals. Tighten terminal screws to 0.68 N·m torque. Ground cable shields at one end only. Configure counter modes via controller programming software.
