- Processor: It is equipped with a 25 MHz MC68LC040 enhanced 32 - bit microprocessor, with 8 KB of cache and MMU (Memory Management Unit).
- Memory: It has 4, 8, 16, or 32 MB of shared DRAM, which can be parity - checked or have ECC (Error - Correcting Code) function, and can be expanded to 64 MB through expansion mezzanines. There is 128 KB of SRAM with battery backup, 1 MB of flash memory for on - board monitor/debugger or user - specified firmware, and 8 k x 8 NVRAM and a real - time clock with battery backup.
- Interface: It has four serial communication ports, all configured as EIA - 232 - D DTE. It is equipped with two 16 - or 32 - bit Industry Pack® ports, with one DMA channel per port. It also has an optional SCSI bus interface with 32 - bit local bus burst DMA and an optional Ethernet transceiver interface with 32 - bit local bus DMA.
