Function Features
- High – performance Linking: It is a high – performance and easy – to – use device for linking two or more VME systems together via fiber – optic cable.
- Software Transparency: The link is software – transparent. Any VME master in the primary chassis can access (read or write) any slave board in the secondary chassis.
- Convenient Reset: There is a link reset switch on the front – panel of VMIVME – 5531M. Users can assert sysreset in the secondary chassis without resetting the primary chassis (or additional secondary chassis in multiple – link configurations).
- Status Indication: Both VMIVME – 5531M and its matching board VMIVME – 5531S have a bi – color LED. The green LED indicates that the local receiver has achieved phase – lock and frame synchronization with the remote transmitter, and the red LED indicates that the link is not ready.
Application Scenarios
