The module occupies one slot in an RX3i universal backplane and links two controllers via dual LC-type single-mode fiber-optic ports. Any data written by one CPU is instantly mirrored to the partner CPU over a deterministic 2.12 Gbaud reflective-memory network, enabling bumpless switchover in the event of a primary controller failure.
