Function Features

• EGD Communication: It supports the EGD protocol, which allows for automatic exchange of data with other devices on the network. The module can automatically provide the controller with status information in each data exchange.
• LED Indicators: It is equipped with 8 LEDs, including EOK, LAN, STAT, PS, and four LEDs related to the two RJ – 45 ports. These LEDs indicate the status of the module, Ethernet interfaces, traffic at the Ethernet ports, and the occurrence of exception events.
• Restart Button: The Ethernet restart push button has two functions: performing the LED test and restarting the Ethernet communication. When pressed, it will disrupt Ethernet communications and then restart the interface, running power diagnostics and restarting the interface’s software to the operational state.
• Auto – sensing Ports: Each of the two RJ – 45 Ethernet ports can automatically sense the data rate (10 Mbps or 100 Mbps), half – or full – duplex mode, and cabling arrangement (straight – through or crossover). The ports can be connected to other Ethernet devices, and the cables used can be shielded or unshielded, direct or crossover.
• Protocol Support: It supports protocols such as EGD and SRTP server. Additionally, it has SNP and SNPX protocol support on the power supply RS – 485 port.
• Station Manager Feature: There is an RS – 232, 6 – pin, RJ – 11 port for connecting a terminal or terminal emulator to access the station manager software on the Ethernet interface. This feature is used for testing and troubleshooting Ethernet communications, although it is optional.
