Functional Features
- Data Exchange Capability: It can exchange 128 bytes of input data and 128 bytes of output data per scan, and supports Genius datagram communications.
- I/O Module Support: Supports up to eight field control I/O modules.
- Redundancy Support: It has a built – in bus – switching circuit, allowing the bus interface unit to be used on a dual – channel (redundant) Genius bus without an external bus – switching module. It also supports hot – standby CPU configuration.
- Diagnostic Function: It can perform diagnostic checks on itself and its I/O modules, and forward the diagnostic information to the host (if configured for fault reporting) and the handheld monitor.
- Bus Protocol Support: Supports the Genius bus protocol.
