- Retrofit and maintenance projects involving original IC3600 control cabinets
- Manufacturing and process control systems requiring hardwired signal conditioning
- Use in auxiliary equipment monitoring, including lube oil pressure, cooling water flow, and fire detection
- Integration into safety and shutdown systems where signal integrity is critical
System Integration
The IC3600ADNA1 mounts directly into the IC3600 control cabinet via an edge connector that interfaces with the backplane. Field devices are wired to terminal blocks on the front or side of the module, and the amplified output is transmitted internally to logic processing and output modules. It operates as part of a non-programmable, relay-replacement control system where control logic is implemented through physical wiring and module interconnections rather than software.
Reliability and Support
As a component of the historic IC3600 series introduced in the 1960s, the IC3600ADNA1 has a long-standing record of reliability in industrial automation. Although the system is obsolete and no longer supported by GE for new installations, the module remains in service in select legacy facilities. Replacement, refurbishment, and technical support are available through specialized industrial control suppliers and third-party service providers who maintain expertise in vintage GE control systems.
